Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Arrival & Drive to Kandy
Airport pickup and immediate transfer to Kandy — a 3.5-hour drive through the highlands. En route, stop briefly at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage for a first glimpse of Sri Lanka's famous elephants. Arrive in Kandy by late afternoon and visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, followed by a Kandyan cultural dance and fire-walking show in the evening.
Day 2Tea Country & Colombo
Begin with a visit to the magnificent Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya — 147 acres of tropical trees, orchids, and bamboo groves beside the Mahaweli River. Continue through working tea estates to a plantation and factory for a hands-on tea experience. Drive back to Colombo in the afternoon for an evening of city exploration — the Gangaramaya Temple, Galle Face Green, and Pettah Market.
Day 3Colombo & Departure
A final morning in Colombo — time for a short sightseeing circuit taking in the National Museum, the colonial Wolfendahl Church, and the colourful Kelaniya Temple before your driver transfers you to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
