Whale Watching Day Tour

Overview

Mirissa, on Sri Lanka's southern coast, offers one of the world's best whale watching experiences. This day tour takes you out into the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean where Blue Whales — the largest animals to have ever lived on Earth — pass remarkably close to shore during their annual migration. Along with Blue Whales, you may encounter Sperm Whales, Fin Whales, and Bryde's Whales, as well as several species of dolphins including spinner, bottlenose, and common dolphins. The boat departs early morning for the best sighting opportunities, and experienced captains know the prime locations where these magnificent creatures congregate.
