Sinharaja Rainforest Day Tour
Sinharaja RainforestFull Day (6-8 hours)
Overview
Sinharaja Forest Reserve is Sri Lanka's last remaining primary tropical rainforest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. This day tour takes you deep into one of the most biodiverse places on earth. Trek through dense forest canopy with an expert naturalist guide, discovering an incredible array of endemic flora and fauna. Sinharaja is home to over 60% of Sri Lanka's endemic trees, 50% of endemic butterflies, and many endemic bird species. Watch for mixed-species bird flocks, spot colorful tree frogs, and marvel at giant ferns and rare orchids. The highlight is the symphony of sounds — birdsong, flowing streams, and the gentle patter of raindrops on the canopy above. Trails range from easy to moderate.
